Last updated: 5 Oct 2022

We process personal data in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and the Protection of Personal Information (“POPI”) Act of South Africa.

This Privacy Policy covers the collection, use and disclosure of information that may be collected any time you interact with the Deskdragon “Service” (e.g. when you visit our web site, use our Android or iOS app, or communicate with Deskdragon support, etc.). Deskdragon undertakes all common and reasonable precautions to protect user information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

This Privacy Policy supplements our Terms of Service.

Personal Information

Deskdragon collects contact details (specifically your email address and provided name) during the signup process (via app or website). When paying via card, your name, email address, country, and other payment information is collected and stored by our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle.

None of the personal information Deskdragon collects will be shared with third parties, unless you have explicitly agreed to it, or if Deskdragon is required to do so by law.

Desk Booking (non-personal) Information

Deskdragon collects and stores desk booking information (such as desk names, start and end dates, as well as the user IDs associated with bookings) in order to offer the Deskdragon service to users. We also store floorplan data if you have provided this.

Automatically-Captured Information

Deskdragon collects a range of non-personal log information for the purposes of monitoring, debugging, and improving the Service. Deskdragon also makes use of third party software provided by Crashlytics to aid in better handling app crashes. We also have an automated notification system configured that utilizes the services of PaperTrail and Slack to allow us to respond quickly to crashes on the Deskdragon web platform. The Deskdragon web platform also makes use of “cookies” in order to provide its Service once you have logged in.

A complete list of third party software that is used by Deskdragon can be found in Addendum A. None of the logging data is shared with third parties unless Deskdragon is required to do so by law.

User Communications

Deskdragon collects and archives email, data entered into web forms, and any other communication you send to Deskdragon for the purpose of processing and answering your requests and improving Deskdragon’s Service. Deskdragon will not share any user communication with third parties unless Deskdragon is required to do so by law.

Right to be Forgotten

Deskdragon users may request a copy of all their data, and they may also request that we remove all their data permanently from the Deskdragon service. Deskdragon users may send such requests to [email protected], and requests will be fulfilled within three business days. The Deskdragon app can be removed permanently from Android and iOS devices; however, we do not control which information the operating systems may retain after uninstallation.

Location of Data

Deskdragon data as well as off-site backups are stored in Frankfurt (Germany).

Payment information

All Deskdragon credit card payments are handled via Stripe. No payment information is stored on Deskdragon servers, and no card numbers and other confidential payment information are visible to Deskdragon employees. The last four digits of your card may be displayed to you to help you to identify a specific card.
